1 – ORGANISE YOUR JOKES

However you prefer to organise your jokes, Evernote will make that process easier. You can set up Notebooks with specific functions, tag jokes, search your database of jokes. With a premium account you can use it both in desktop and an app function. The app is especially handy for doing a quick audio recording that you can tag or file in a notebook. It’s worth the money to never lose your joke ideas.

2 – REMEMBER / HEAR YOUR JOKES

If you really want to hear if a joke is working, trust a robot to let you know. There are many apps that will read your text to you such as this one, Natural Readers. No, they aren’t funny, but maybe this is the point. It can be good to just hear the words out loud to check if a joke makes sense or is working. The computer voices are just natural enough to give you an idea of how your joke sounds out loud. Side bonus, this can also help you memorise your jokes.

4 – WRITE YOUR JOKES DOWN (FASTER)

Some comedians prefer to write their jokes down. Some prefer just to say them out loud. The Live Transcribe app lets you do both. You just talk, and the app transcribes everything you are saying, which gives you a more natural version of the joke as it is said out loud. Iphones have a native app for this purpose but Android users can get this from the Google Play store. It is available in multiple languages, not just English.
