A joke writing format from improvisation comedy.
This is a fun exercise you can play alone or with fellow comedians to work on your punchlines. You have a fixed setup and you can make multiple punchlines. First you need to think of a random object or ask an online tool to help you. Then use the following joke structure.
185 [blanks] walk into a bar. The bartender says, we don’t serve [blanks] here. The 185 [blanks] says [punchline here].
Alt Version:
185 [blanks] walk into a bar. The bartender says, we don’t serve [blanks] here. The 185 [blanks] say ‘why not?’ and the Bartender says [punchline here].
Example – 185 (Vampires)
Three vampires walk into a bar. The first one says, “I’ll have a pint of blood.”
The second one says, “I’ll have one, too.”
The third one says, “I’ll have a pint of plasma.”
The bartender says, “So, that’ll be two Bloods and a Blood Lite?”
